They're going to need to stitch up the injury, but keeping him from immediately dying is priority. ]

[ He's going to carry their "daughter" with him because he went through way too much effort to get this thing out of Aventurine and he's not letting go of her now. He collects a variety of supplies, including a way to stitch up and clean his wound, and hurriedly makes his way back. ]

[ he shuts his eyes, but remembers that he needs to stay awake, so he forces them back open, despite how difficult it is. aventurine stares at the ceiling as he feels his back grow wet... the blood pooling beneath him and forming a large puddle. ]
I know. [ He has enough faith in Aventurine to leave him unattended for now, collecting as many medical supplies and returning just as he reaches a full house. ]
[ He presses a kiss to Aventurine's forehead as he's delirious. ] You did well. Stay with me, gambler. [ Ratio works very swiftly and very efficiently to wrap the injury and stitch him back up. He's a very good doctor, but he has limited tools and it's quite a severe injury. But he will do what he can to keep him from dying again. ]
[ he quiets as he feels ratio come back over, because the warmth of his presence is more than telling enough for aventurine. he smiles in response to the kiss, pursing his own lips in an attempt to return it, even if there's no real way for him to do so. he lets ratio patch him up, which stops the bleeding and keeps him from tumbling into the brink of death. ] Veri- Veritas... lo... [ he loves him so much. ]
[ their little girl latches onto ratio's arm, trying to suck some of his blood. om nom. ] Whereshh... Vashtella?
No need to say it. [ He hushes, soothing back Aventurine's hair once he's managed to stabilize him. ] Save your breath and rest.
[ He's STILL ignoring the chestburster. She can drink what she wants. For NOW. ] ...I'll go find her, but I need to ensure you're stable first. [ He'll continue to adjust the bandages until he's satisfied that Aventurine won't die while he's not there. ]

[ follows and on finding aventurine vastella kneels and immediately starts to glow. their halo appears behind them, swirls of gold manifesting in their paws as they set to healing him. ] What happened to him?
This ended up inside of his chest as a result of that card game. [ He holds up the alien. She's still biting him. ] The last time we killed it, it melted into acid inside of him and killed him.
I extracted it and stabilized him, but I don't have the right tools to fully heal him.
… [ stares. ] How come you haven’t killed it, if it’s done nothing but hurt him. [ and killed him! ] Do you help doing that too? [ now that they’ve finished healing and stabilizing aventurine. ]
[ sits up, giving ratio, the alien, and then vastella a smile. ] Thank you for healing me, and thank doctor for helping me. [ he’s feeling so much better now. [ reaches out to set a hand on one of vastella’s. ] Not necessary. It’s not like she knew any better. Leave her to us. Please.
[ He doesn't have to answer that because Aventurine gets to it for them. He does kneel beside Aventurine, still holding the alien baby that has managed to fall asleep. His arms are very bit. ]
Now that you're feeling better I'm going to leave. If your worm with teeth mauls you, then you will learn your lesson before I heal you again. [ they are going to... walk off. ] And 'doctor' you should buy him a gag.
